This Privacy Policy describes how SRT Preview ("we", "our", or "the application") handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

SRT Preview does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.

The application operates entirely on your local computer and does not:

SRT Preview stores the following data locally on your computer only:

Application Settings

  • Port number
  • UI visibility preference

This data is stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\SrtPreview and never leaves your device.

Network Activity

SRT Preview receives video streams by:

  • Listener Mode: Listening on a port you specify and accepting SRT connections from any IP address
  • All network communication is limited to the SRT receiving functionality
  • No data is sent to our servers or any third-party services

The application only communicates with:

  • SRT senders that connect to the port you configure
  • No other network connections are made outside of SRT receiving

Third-Party Services

SRT Preview does not integrate with or use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your computer:

  • You are responsible for the security of your device
  • We recommend following standard security practices (antivirus software, firewall, etc.)
  • Output files containing video frames should be handled according to your organization's security policies

Children's Privacy

SRT Preview does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the application documentation with an updated "Last Updated" date.
