Overview
USB Camera AV Monitor checks a local camera and audio path on one screen. It previews NV12 video, plays PCM 48 kHz two-channel audio, and shows the input waveform and status values.
Key features
- Select a Windows camera and a supported resolution/FPS combination.
- Select separate audio input and output devices.
- Preview video and play captured audio through the selected output.
- View the audio input as a time-domain waveform.
- Adjust CH1 and CH2 volume, mute, and delay independently up to 500 ms.
- Reload devices and start or stop monitoring without recording or streaming.
Installation
- Install USB Camera AV Monitor from the Microsoft Store.
- Connect the camera and audio devices and confirm that Windows recognizes them.
Basic configuration
- Select the camera, resolution/FPS, audio input, and audio output.
- Press Start to begin video preview, audio output, and waveform monitoring.
- Check the Video and Audio status values and compare the preview with the waveform.
- Adjust per-channel volume, mute, or delay when checking the output path.
- Press Stop before changing devices. Use Reload after reconnecting hardware.

System requirements
- Windows 11 on an x64 PC
- A USB camera supported by Windows Media Foundation
- Audio input and output devices supporting WASAPI shared mode with PCM 48 kHz 2-channel float
Main operations
Keep the preview and waveform visible while changing one device or channel control at a time.
Checks before use
- Close applications that may be using the camera or audio device exclusively.
- Select an NV12 camera mode supported by the device.
- Confirm that the selected audio output is connected and available to Windows.
- This product does not record, stream, or provide long-running monitoring.
Troubleshooting
Reload devices after reconnecting hardware. If capture does not start, try another camera resolution/FPS combination and confirm the device is available in Windows settings.
