Overview
USB Cam for NDI sends a camera and audio input to an NDI receiver. The Windows interface is in English. Earlier releases and screenshots use the name NDI USB CAM. Store availability may depend on completion of the current release.
Basic configuration
- In Basic, select a camera and choose the required resolution and FPS in Camera.
- Select the microphone under Audio In. Select Off for video only.
- Enter an NDI source name and click Start.
- In an NDI receiver, such as Preview for NDI, select the source shown with this computer's name.
- Confirm the receiver's picture and audio input levels.
The microphone selected in the application can differ from the Windows default microphone. If audio levels remain at zero, check the selected device, its Windows input level, and the physical connection. After reconnecting a USB device, refresh or restart the application to reopen the input.
Check without a camera
Choose Test Signal and Test Signal 1kHz to send a moving test picture and tone. TestSG controls the generated signal. This is useful for checking discovery, reception, and audio independently of a camera or microphone.
Main operations
Audio offers per-channel gain and delay, plus mute. Preview controls the local display FPS. Camera properties depend on the selected device. Monitor displays transmission statistics. System provides saved settings and automatic startup.
Click Stop to stop NDI transmission. Close the application to release its camera and audio inputs. This application sends NDI; it does not include a recording function.

Key features
See the feature table above for the functions included in this application.
Installation
Install the application from its Microsoft Store link. The NDI runtime is included.
System requirements
Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11, on x64. Provide an accessible local network and a compatible NDI peer.
Checks before use
Start with a short test signal. Confirm both video and audio levels before using a live camera source.
Troubleshooting
If a source is missing, check that the sender is running and reachable on the network. If audio is silent, verify the selected microphone at the sender and check mute, gain, and the Windows playback device.
